Today the Embassy of the United States of America and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy announced grants to nine of India's top clean energy innovators. The awards were funded through the PACEsetter Fund, a ₹50 crore (US$7.9 million) account maintained jointly between the two governments. PACEsetter Fund awards were given to projects focused on improving the commercial viability of off-grid renewable energy businesses and organizations. These best-in-class solutions are designed to bring clean and reliable electricity to India's off-grid communities.

Shri Shakti Wins Grant from MNRE & US State Department through PACEsetter Fund

Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and US State Department have presented Shri Shakti Alternative Energy a grant award through PACEsetter Fund on 27th May in New Delhi at a program attended by US Ambassador to India and Secretary, MNRE and other officials. Shri Shakti is one of the 8 finalists selected out of more around 139 applicants under the 1st round of funding by PACEsetter Fund, which is jointly funded by MNRE and US State Department. PACE stands for Program for Advancement of Clean Energy and the PACEsetter Fund is managed by Indo US Science and Technology Forum. The total funding allotted to all finalists under the 1st round of funding is US $ 2 million.
